WEST JAVA EXPERIENCE (5 DAYS / 4 NIGHTS)

Day 1: Arrive Jakarta – Bogor (-)
Arrived at Jakarta meet with our guide and then transfer to your hotel at Bogor.
Overnight Bogor.

Day 2: Bogor – Bandung (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel and visit Bogor Botanical Garden, the largest botanical garden in Indonesia. Afterward, drive to Puncak to see a tea plantation and the factory to see how tea is processed. Transfer to Bandung for your next accommodation. Lunch served en route.
Overnight Bandung.

Day 3: Bandung – Batu Karas or Pangandaran (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Cangkuang Lake, a small lake in the vicinity of Garut, around 70km south of Bandung, visiting the Cangkuang temple, the first ancient temple ever discovered in West Java. The temple stands on an island in the middle of the lake; we’ll reach it by crossing the lake on rustic bamboo rafts. Continue to Tasikmalaya to see a activities from the craftsman to make some handicraft. After this Proceed to Batu Karas or Pangandaran for your accommodation. Lunch served en route.
Overnight Batu Karas or Pangandaran.

Day 4: Pangandaran Tour (B,L)
Breakfast at the hotel. and then transfer to Pangandaran and try local transportation “becak” to Pananjung Nature Reserve. Pananjung preserve is a 530-Ha wildlife park. Included in this area is a 37, 70-Ha forest. The area consists of tropical rainforest, a coral garden, beaches, grass-land, swamps, caves and several World War Two shelters. And also have rare floras and faunas such as the Raflesia Padma flower, bulls, deer, and a variety of monkey species.
Afternoon, visit Green Canyon. Green Canyon is part of Cijulang River which through dense woods in very cold water and a beautiful nature environment. The river ends in a cavern blocked by huge rocky stones and high cliff that resembles an underground tunnel full of stalactite and stalagmites that surrounded by two beautiful green hill. The tunnel is about 100 m long and above it water comes showering down from the tree. After this back to hotel for your accommodation. Lunch served en route.
Overnight Batu Karas or Pangandaran.

Day 5: Batu Karas or Pangandaran – Out (B,L)

1st Option: Ended in Jakarta
Breakfast we will go back to Jakarta with sightseeing to Naga Village. After this go direct to Jakarta.  Lunch served en route.
2nd Option: Ended in Jogjakarta
Breakfast and then go to Banjar station for your train excursion to Jogjakarta (Lodaya Pagi: 11:33 - 15:42) No guide in a train. Arrived at Jogjakarta and then we will transfer you to hotel at Jogjakarta area. Lunch served at lunch box.

Day 1: Arrive Jakarta (-)
Arrived at Jakarta meet with our guide and then transfer to your hotel at Jakarta.

Day 2: Jakarta – Baduy – Anyer (B,L)
Breakfast at hotel and drive to Rangkas Bitung for Baduy. With short trekking, we will see the activities of Baduy tribe. After this go to Anyer for your accommodation. Lunch box served en route.
Overnight Anyer.

Day 3: Anyer – Krakatau – Pulau Umang (B,L,D)
Breakfast at hotel and then go to Marina for your Krakatau exploration with boat. Cruising Sunda strait takes about 1 hour, arrived and climbing up to the first level of Anak Krakatau. Follow by swimming and snorkeling at Legon Cabe coral reef. After lunch back to Marina and drive to Sumur Village for your Boat trip to Umang Island. Lunch box served en route & dinner served at Hotel.

Day 4: Pulau Umang (B,L,D)

Day 5: Pulau Umang – Jakarta (B,L)
Breakfast and then go to Sumur village with boat and then go back to Jakarta. Lunch served en route.

THE FULL GREAT JAVA RAILWAY JOURNEY (10 DAYS / 09 NIGHTS)

Day 1: Arrive Jakarta
Arrive at Soekarno Hatta Jakarta International Airport, meeting service and transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 2: Jakarta – Bogor
Breakfast at Hotel Jakarta, depart to Bogor located about 50 km south of Jakarta in the city of Bogor, It is a huge, world-class botanical garden, covering an area of around 80 hectares. Founded in 1817, the gardens contain streams and lotus ponds and it has a collection of magnificent palms. The garden’s orchid houses are reputed to contain more than 3000 orchid varieties.
Afternoon visit Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), this is a 1100 hectares of beautiful Indonesia in mini featuring full scale traditional houses from all provinces of Indonesia with displays of regional handicraft and clothing, and a large lagoon where you can row around the islands of the archipelago or take a cable car across for a bird's eye view. There also museum, theaters, restaurants, an orchid garden and a bird park with a huge walk-in aviary. There's even a mini by air conditioned coach to the Miniature Indonesia, where model traditional houses of all provinces in Indonesia are featured.

Day 3: Jakarta – Bandung (by train)
Breakfast at Hotel. Jakarta City Sight Seeing visiting the National Museum, Old Harbour Sunda Kelapa and passing the National Monument. Proceed to Gambir Train Station continue by Train to Bandung. Upon arrival in Bandung transfer to hotel for overnight.

Day 4: Bandung
Breakfast at hotel. Scenic drive through Lembang hills to the crater of Mount Tangkuban Perahu. To reach Sari Ater hot spring (don’t forget to bring swimsuit and towel), passing through beautiful Tea plantation. Afternoon visit Padasuka village to listen to the melodious sounds of Angklung music using bamboo instruments.

Day 5: Bandung – Jogjakarta (by train)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning transfers to the train station of Bandung, then depart by train. Early Afternoon you will arrive in Yogyakarta. Then transfer to Hotel.
Afternoon visit the magnificent 9th Century Hindu Temple of Prambanan
Overnight Jogjakarta.

Day 6: Jogjakarta
Breakfast at Hotel. Visit the Kraton (Sultan’s Palace) and see traditional Javanese crafts silversmiths and batik processing.
Afternoon visit Borobudur Temple. The massive stone stupa of Borobudur is one the greatest of all ancient architectural monuments. Built with forced labor from the surrounding countryside between about AD 750 and 850, Borobudur predates Angkor Wat in Cambodia by three centuries. Though a Buddhist creation, it incorporates Persian, Babylonian and Greek influences.
If you were to look at every gallery from base to summit, you would walk for more than three miles. Soon after its completion, the local rulers were overthrown by the Hindus and Borobudur was abandoned. Buried under volcanic ash and tropical growth, it was only rediscovered in 1815.
It has recently been fully restored by an International effort under the aegis of UNESCO. In nearby villages, you can still see stone masons working in much the same manner as the peasants who built this astonishing monument. Also the nearby smaller but of some importance Pawon and Mendut temples will be visited.

Day 7: Jogjakarta – Surabaya (by train)
After breakfast, depart by train to Surabaya. Upon arrival in Surabaya, city sightseeing visiting Kayoon Flower market, then passing heroes’ Monument and Governor’s Residence with colonial building in the city centre.

Day 8: Surabaya – Bromo
Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Pasuruan and visit traditional harbor. Continue to your hotel, where jeep will take you to explore Mt. Bromo. Crossing the sea of sand, view Mt. Bromo from view point and climb the crater.
Overnight Bromo.

Day 9: Bromo – Probolinggo – Banyuwangi / Ijen (by train)
Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Probolinggo to catch the executive train to Banyuwangi. Enjoy the view from the train crossing the eastern part of Java.
Arrive at Banyuwangi, direct transfer to Ijen (only with English speaking driver).
Overnight Ijen.

Day 10: Ijen – Bali
Breakfast at hotel. Optional tour to Ijen crater. At the appropriate time, transfer to Ketapang for a ferry to Bali. Up on arrival at Gilimanuk harbor, transfer to South Bali.

Day 02 JOGJAKARTA/HOTEL – MAGELANG (B)
Breakfast at hotel. At the appropriate time, meet and greet by PACTO Tour guide for transfer with sightseeing and excursion to Prambanan Temple, Sultan Palace, Water castle, Sonobudoyo Museum, and a batik factory en route. Proceed to visit Prambanan Temple
After all excursions are done, proceed to hotel in Magelang area for overnight.

Day 03 Magelang/Hotel – Full day excursion (B)

Continue program for a tour to Desa Srigentan (Srigentan Village) by riding traditional horse cart called “Andong”. Here you can feel the village atmosphere and see  the local typical Javanese house, the brown sugar production, bamboo basket making, and the soya bean becoming the local favorite food call tempe.
Proceed to hotel in Magelang area for overnight.

Day 04 Magelang/Hotel – Blitar (B)
Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Blitar via Solo, Mangkunegaran Palace and local antique market, then continue crossing border between Central and East Java trough tea plantations to the city of Blitar.
Afternoon arrive in the city of Blitar, then overnight at Tugu Hotel Blitar

Day 05 Blitar – Tosari (B)
Breakfast at hotel, morning visit the most important archaeological remains from the Majapahit period. Candi Penataran, located 10 km north of Blitar on the slopes of Mount Kelud. Candi Penataran is the biggest Hindu temple which occupies a special position among all temples to be found in East Java. Known to ancient literature and inscriptions as Palah, this temple appears to have undergone continuous construction for some two and a half centuries. Its importance can be witnessed further by the regular visits paid to it by King Hayam Wuruk of Majapahit, as mentioned in the Negarakertagama. Even though Penataran dates back to at least the reign of King Airlangga of Kediri at the end of the 12th century, the remains which we see today are almost entirely the work of Majapahit architects and builders. Afterward, visit the cemetery complex of the first President of Indonesia. Drive to Tosari for overnight

Day 06 Tosari – Bromo Excursion – Ijen Resort (B)
Morning wake up and go to Bromo to watch Sunrise and try horse excursion in Bromo. After this back to hotel at Tosari and breakfast then continue for short rest before your next trip to Ijen for next accommodation.
Arrived at Ijen Resort in the afternoon for overnight

Day 07 Ijen – Ijen crater – Bali/drop (B)
After an early wake-up call and breakfast, a four wheel drive vehicle carries you through the rural villages, coffee and clove plantations and then into one of Java’s last rainforests. Humidity, wildlife, giant ferns and big trees cover the slope of the mountain. From the Park Ranger’s post starts the 90 minute hike to Ijen Crater. The stunning view is unveiled at 2383 meters altitude. The lake eerie color and smoke wafting from bright yellow sulfur deposits create the landscape both desolate, barren and vibrantly alive. Watching miners descending into the crater and re-emerge carrying up to 80 kilos of ore on bamboo basket along the treacherous path. Afterward walk back down the mountain. Return to hotel for a short rest. Then we will go to Ketapang for ferry excursion, arrived at Gilimanuk and then go to Menjangan for next accommodation.

Day 08 BALI/Menjangan – Transfer departure to Airport (B)

After this we will go to Gunung Mas tea Plantation to enjoy the scenery of tea plantation and if  time permits we will go to tea factory to see the process making of a good brewed tea. Continue to Bandung via Cipanas.

Day 03 (Tuesday)
Bandung
Breakfast at the hotel. Scenic drive through the Lembang hills to the crater of Mount Tangkuban Perahu and to the Sari Ater hot springs (don’t forget to bring your swimsuit and towel) for a relaxing soak. Then proceed on to your hotel.

Day 04 (Wednesday)
Bandung – Garut – Baturaden
Breakfast at the hotel. Day 05 (Thursday)
Baturaden – Dieng Plateau – Yogyakarta
After breakfast drive to Wonosobo followed by an excursion to the mystical Dieng Plateau (about 2200m above sea level), the site of the first known standing stone structures in Java. Here you will see eight small Hindu temples from the 7th and 8th centuries. Historians believe that the temples originally numbered 400 but today only these eight remain. Drive further to the cultural City of Yogyakarta.

Day 06 (Friday)
Yogyakarta
Breakfast at the hotel, depart morning for the Borobudur Temple Tour, visiting the massive stone monument of Borobudur, a Unesco World Heritage site. Borobudur is one the greatest of all ancient architectural monuments, comprising six square platforms topped by three circular platforms, and is decorated with 2,672 stone relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. The main dome, located at the center of the top platform, is surrounded by 72 Buddha statues seated inside perforated stupa. Built with peasant labor from the surrounding countryside between AD 750 and 850, Borobudur predates Angkor Wat in Cambodia by three centuries. Though a Buddhist creation, it incorporates Persian, Babylonian and Greek influences.
Borobudur’s stone relief panels are a virtual history of Mahayana Buddhist doctrine as well as an ancient record providing scholars with detailed information about life in 8th and 9th century Java. If you were to look at every panel from base to summit, you would walk for more than three miles. Soon after its completion, the local rulers were overthrown by the Hindus and Borobudur was abandoned. Buried under volcanic ash and tropical growth, it was only rediscovered in 1815. Day 07 (Saturday)
Yogyakarta – Kediri
Depart from the hotel for Kediri, driving via the town of Solo where we visit the historic Mangkunegaraan Palace.

Day 08 (Sunday)
Kediri – Blitar – Malang
Breakfast at the hotel. We will continue the tour to Kranggang village to see the cigarette factory. This is a small village about 20 kilometers outside the city. Along the way, we will see Sugar Factory at Mrican, which was built by Dutch in 1939. Bendungan Gerak Waruturi in Mrican district also build by the Dutch, actually use as water gate and flow regulator of Brantas River. From the bridge, we drive to Kranggang Village and see East-Javanese villages, locals’ daily activities and typical traditional houses. After this we will go to the cemetery of the 1st president Indonesia, Ir Soekarno in Blitar area.

Day 09 (Monday)
Malang – Bromo – Kalibaru
Breakfast at hotel and then Bromo Excursion, drive to the village of Pananjakan and continue your journey from the rim of the old crater down into the stunning caldera, crossing the sulfur rich sand-sea to the smoking crater of Bromo to watch the beautiful scenery. After the excursion, drive to to Kalibaru via the cities of Probolinggo, Jember and Jatiroto. At noon arrive at the hotel in Kalibaru, continue with a stroll to visit a nearby village to see coffee and cocoa plantations.

Day 10 (Tuesday)
Kalibaru – Bali
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning excursion to do plantation tour at Kalibaru. After this drive to Ketapang harbour, then cross the Straits of Bali by ferry. Arrived at Bali and then we will transfer you to hotel at South Bali.

- Visit to the sacred Tanah Lot Temple built on an ocean rock on the exotic west coast of Bali.
